RingLead to acquire Qandor and hire Michael Farrington, Force.com MVP, as Chief Product Officer

RingLead, Inc. and Qandor LLC today announced they have entered into a definitive agreement under which RingLead will acquire Qandor for an undisclosed sum. Qandor founder and Salesforce MVP Michael Farrington will stay on as President of Qandor and will also join RingLead's executive team as Chief Product Officer.

Qandor offers a suite of administrator's tools that are among the most downloaded free apps, with close to 10,000 installs on the AppExchange, salesforce.com's leading app marketplace for the social enterprise. Farrington is one of a select group of people who have been chosen as both a Force.com MVP for his development prowess and as a Salesforce Community MVP for his thought leadership role in the Salesforce social media community.

In addition to his work at Qandor, Farrington was the Senior Force.com Mastermind at Motorola Solutions since 2006, where he oversaw the architecture and administration of Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud for Motorola Solutions globally.

"Motorola enabled me to rise to the top of my field as a Salesforce Administrator, but my true calling is building exciting applications on the Force.com platform," said Farrington. "I'm very excited to join RingLead to work with its founder, legendary programmer Steve Lehr, and pursue my passion for developing cutting edge applications for Salesforce."

"While RingLead intends to fully support and improve Qandor's suite of applications with a full slate of premium features, you might say that we 'acqhired,' Qandor, rather than acquired it," said Steve Lehr, president of RingLead. "Qandor's apps are awesome, but Michael himself was the real prize. There is an untapped pool of creative entrepreneurs in the Force.com developer community and Michael is the vanguard of RingLead's strategy to hire the best and the brightest developers that the Force.com community has to offer."

Farrington's first assignment for RingLead will be developing a free duplicates diagnostic application called DupeDive. DupeDive will use RingLead's proprietary Declone Duplicates Detection Engine to provide lead deduplication and other data quality and business intelligence. DupeDive will integrate with Salesforce Chatter to enable the sharing of data quality intelligence throughout the social enterprise, empowering Salesforce users to turn data into actionable insights. The application also has gamification elements as well as integrations with Facebook and Twitter.

RingLead will introduce a philanthropic component built directly into DupeDive. The "Dupes for the Troops" campaign will make a donation to www.operationonceinalifetime.com in support of the families of America's servicemen and women for every DupeDive user who runs the application and submits the results for a data quality ranking scored against other Salesforce orgs worldwide.
