This summer we open our doors to 11 local college students for our first ever Summer Internship Program!

For the next 2 months, students from across the state will fill our open-space office with their laptops, creativity and flair. These carefully selected interns will gain hands-on experience in sales, marketing, finance and business operations from industry experts like CEO Chris Hickey and Executive Chairman Russ Artzt.

Our interns will be exposed to some of the best training programs in the industry like Cardone University, LinkedIn Sales Navigator training and Salesforce and Marketo training. While our interns are assigned to specific departments–Sales, Marketing or Finance–it is Chris’ vision that each individual gain valuable business operations experience that they can leverage for any role in the future. During the program interns will take part in department and company meetings to gain a deep understanding of how each department works with others to drive revenue and growth at a SaaS technology company like RingLead.

Our full-time, paid interns come to us from some of the top schools in the state: St. Josephs College, SUNY Albany, SUNY New Paltz, SUNY Stony Brook, SUNY Oneonta, LIU: CW Post, Villanova, Catholic University of America, Loyola University and Manhattanville College. With majors ranging from Business Economics and Business Marketing, to Accounting, Finance and International Business, we consider ourselves lucky to be among some of the best and brightest in the state.

Every intern, regardless of department, will learn to strengthen their communication, organization, time management and customer service skills. Because we are a team, we expect each intern to leave us with a concrete understanding of what it means to be a valuable team player in such a competitive environment.

Here’s just a glimpse of what we have in store for the summer!

Sales Development Interns

Sales interns will shadow experienced account executives to learn how our reps prospect, demo and create value for customers. Sales interns will learn to leverage Salesforce, Sales Navigator, DialSource and Marketo to improve their lead generation, prospecting and cold calling techniques. As they move through the program, Sales interns will have the opportunity to participate in creating impactful call and email scripts.

PR & Social Media Marketing Interns

Our marketing interns will learn to create and publish original content about RingLead’s software, service and support using various platforms like WordPress, Newswire and PeopleLinx. Marketing interns will help develop and execute social media campaigns that result in an increase in leads and traffic to our website.

Finance Interns

Our finance interns will learn to effectively communicate with sales regarding customer accounts, Account finance contacts in Salesforce, and payment collection. Finance interns will mainly learn QuickBooks and Salesforce, and will have the opportunity to work directly with high-level financial reporting, bank reconciliation and accounts receivable.

All of our interns will complete end-of-program presentations on what they learned during their time at RingLead. Our goal is to ensure each intern leaves RingLead with relevant, transferable skills and experience to help them land a role in their desired profession.
