Salesforce1 is a redesigned platform that promises to put Salesforce at the front lines in your interraction with customers and prospects.  Salesforce1 allows companies to design and deploy mobile applications faster and more efficiently than previously imagined by introducing a new set of software development kits and APIs making it easier than ever to introduce mobile technology to your customers.

The ExactTarget Marketing Cloud

In case you missed the big announcement back in June, Salesforce purchased ExactTarget, the industry-leading marketing automation and email marketing software company. Salesforce is now in the midst of a massive integration of three platforms (including Pardot, an earlier acquisition by ExactTarget) platforms. There was plenty to see at the ExactTarget Marketing Cloud section of the cloud expo, including demonstrations on how developers can build apps into the platform.

Customer Focus on Data Quality

Survey data collected from Salesforce customers was released prior to Dreamforce, showing that customers of all sizes were thinking about data quality (deduplication, duplicate prevention, data normalization & enrichment). Data quality was ranked as a top initiative, along with mobile strategies.

The trend of acting on data quality was evident in the numerous data quality-themed sessions at Dreamforce ’13.
