So my name is Julia Rodriguez and I work for a Swiss-based company called getAbstract. I am their Salesforce manager and administrator of about 80 sales reps globally. So the objective that I was looking for when I was searching for a data management solution was something that I could really clean up our leads versus our contacts. And in Salesforce terms, that’s a very crucial piece, measuring return on investment for your marketing efforts, tracking that all the way through the end of the sales cycle.

So we needed a tool that basically could help me do my job faster and more efficiently. It was becoming where I couldn’t clean up the data fast enough on top of all of the projects that I was in charge of as well. So basically we either needed another Salesforce person to assist me or something that could help streamline the processes.

I have saved hours of time with RingLead. Every task, it’s pretty incredible. The last task I did was 29,000 records updated in under 60 seconds. So every task is kind of set up like that. The first function of the DMS I used was mass updates and that is the function where you can mass update a bunch of records in seconds. Being able to update 29,000 records in a batch in under 60 seconds is huge for me, especially as a solo Salesforce admin.

So to utilize the mass update function in RingLead is you basically just tell the system the criteria with a filter, very similar to the Salesforce platform, and you tell it what field to update and then the new value that you would like. So in a click of a button, it will scan your entire system. We have over 200,000 records of all types and in under a minute, it’ll tell you how many you can possibly update and then you can either select which ones to update or you can say update all.

So that function is extremely valuable. When you are in Salesforce and you create a field that is now required to save a record, as of today, Salesforce does not go back into time and mass update all of the existing records. It’s moving forward. You need this field. So what happens is when you have current records and then a user goes to edit them; to save them, they get an error message for those now mandatory fields, and it drives your sales reps crazy, honestly.

So to be able to go back through the system and mass update it to the default value, even if it’s just saying to be updated later is a huge benefit. One of the other functions that I really love to utilize is the deduplication functionality of the product. For us the biggest challenge is sales reps have a tendency to convert leads before they’re true opportunities. For what reason, we don’t know. But being able to actually match those leads to an account without converting them to a contact is actually one of the most incredible parts about this product, I think.

It’ll go through, you set up these filters, which RingLead has been very helpful with helping me set these up; and it will search for them and it will auto attach the leads to the account so the sales rep can go to the account level, see the leads that are connected to it without converting, which is a big deal when you’re measuring marketing ROI.

The thing I appreciate the most about RingLead is I feel that I’m able to handle more of a challenging workload than before because most of my time is now not worrying about the data cleanup aspect. So I can handle more than two or three projects at a time, which used to be my maximum. But at the same time, ensure that the data is getting cleaned up and it’s becoming more accurate every day.
